CONNECT GROUPS
While Worship Services are a very important part of the church, we believe we were created for more. We believe real life change happens in community. It's impossible to build intimate community in a room of 200 people, that's why we have Connect Groups. It gives you a chance to connect with a group of people that are interested in growing spiritually, caring for one another, and encouraging each other to carry out the mission of God. We weren't created to do life alone, that’s why we desire for you to get plugged into a group.
Acts 2:42-47
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
What is a Connect Group?
We were all designed with a desperate need for community in our hearts. When we look at the book of Genesis in the Bible, we see how God spoke about Adam’s need for a helper, someone to walk alongside him and help him. If we all took a minute to evaluate our lives, we would see that we can’t do it all on our own and that we need help to just live life. They are not a replacement for a relationship with God, but they are there to help each of us grow to more like Jesus. Connect groups consist of 8-12 believers who meet weekly to do life together. These groups are designed to cultivate Christ-centered friendships that encourage, challenge, and focus our lives towards a growing relationship with Jesus.
GROWTH
God desires for all of us to grow in our relationship with Him. We believe growth happens best in community. That's why our Connect Groups are designed to meet people where they are and help them get to where God wants them to be. Connect Group is much more than a bible study. It's a place where you can share life with others, be honest about where you are, and meet people who want to help you grow into all God wants you to be.
CARE
God doesn't want anyone to have to walk through life alone. This is why the church was never intended to be an event to attend but a family to belong to. This is what Connect Groups are all about. Whether you're dealing with an illness, a death in the family, or just need prayer for the day to day struggles of life, that's what Connect Groups are for. We want to connect you with a group of people to encourage you and care for you.
MISSION
Jesus' last words to His followers were, "Go and make disciples of all nations." To follow Jesus is to be on board with His mission. Our belief is that you were saved for this mission. In Connect Group, we want to encourage you in this mission so that we can reach more people. Our goal is to grow Connect Groups and raise up new Connect Group leaders to plant more and more groups.
