Malachi 3: 1-12
Verse of the Week
"Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the Lord Almighty."
Malachi 3: 12
Main Idea:
Obedient giving is motivated by the Gospel.
Vs. 1-6
Obedient giving is God's desire for us. God wants your heart, not your money. Even though the good gifts
2. The widow had to participate in the work of God
Elisha had a heart to help the family. These prophets could call down fire from heaven, so in a blink surely they could have fixed the problem. But that's not how it works. What God calls us to requires faith and faith requires action. If it doesn't move us to action we don't truly have faith in it. The widow had to go and get the empty jars. Elisha didn't just fix all of her problems for her. You're not called to fix everyones problems for them. Their journey is not your responsibility. We are called to love and lead them to the God who can fix, remove, and heal. But for God to fix, remove, and heal we have to have the humility to ask for help. Both from our Christians brothers and sisters and from God. We come before God broken and desperate depending completely on Him for His provision and then we get up and go to work for His purposes. We all have a part to play and a way to help in the mission of God going forward. Breakthrough happens on the other side of your spirit led next step.
